Job Responsibilities: ✨
-Develop and implement watershed management plans in collaboration with government agencies, local stakeholders, and community groups.
-Conduct comprehensive assessments of watershed health, water quality, and potential sources of pollution.
-Utilize watershed management techniques to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of phosphorus reduction strategies.
-Design and implement innovative water quality trading programs to promote efficient and cost-effective pollution reduction.
-Provide technical expertise and guidance on best practices in watershed management, including erosion control, stormwater management, agricultural management, and habitat restoration.
-Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop integrated water resource management solutions that consider the social, economic, and environmental aspects of watershed management.
-Stay current with the latest research, regulations, and industry trends related to watershed management and water quality trading.
-Prepare and deliver presentations to communicate findings, funding, recommendations, and progress to clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
Job Qualifications: ✨
-Bachelor's degree in environmental or civil engineering, agricultural engineering hydrology, ecology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
-Strong knowledge of watershed management principles, adaptive management techniques, and water quality trading mechanisms.
-Experience in conducting water quality assessments, data analysis, and interpretation.
-Proficiency in using GIS software, statistical analysis tools, and hydrologic modeling software.
-Familiarity with relevant federal and state regulations pertaining to watershed management and water quality standards.
-Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
